Marketing, new identity and extracurricular activities
Within the framework of the new strategic plan of Dar AlUloom University and the College of Business, the Marketing Department launched its new identity “Towards Sustainable Marketing”, which supports the new mission of the department: “Provide our marketing graduates with excellence in education, scientific research, meeting labor market needs, and community engagement by embracing the concepts of sustainability”, based on the initiatives of Vision 2030 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals launched in 2015 as a basis for community service and developing environmental awareness.
The event was attended by Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Suhaimi, Dean of the College of Business, Head of the Marketing Department, Dr. Mohammed Abdelkader, colleagues, heads of departments, faculty members, and students of the COB.
Dr. Mohammed highlighted the procedures followed to formulate the new marketing department’s mission and how they reflected the program’s objectives and learning outcomes to address the concepts of sustainable development goals. In addition, he explained how the 17 sustainable development goals are linked to the initiatives of the 2023–2024 marketing department operational plan.
The event also received considerable interaction from the attendees who wanted to participate in the new identity support competition. Prizes for the event were sponsored by Farah and Eid Toy Shop.
The event was organized by students of the Events Management Course as an extracurricular activity supporting the achievement of the course’s learning outcomes.
