About the Center – Center for Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and knowledge transfer

Center for Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and knowledge transfer Mission:

Promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, and conducting research/study and consultancy for the public and private sectors.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Developing entrepreneurial thinking and a culture of freelancing, and encouraging innovation and development among university staff, while equipping them to enhance their competitive capabilities and establish entrepreneurial projects, attracting funding from public and private entities.
  2. Encouraging and supporting faculty members and students at DAU to obtain and register patents.
  3. Investing in ideas and innovations from university staff and transforming them into products or commercial projects.
  4. Increasing the economic return and tangible output of scientific research at the university.
  5. Enhancing the university’s partnership with its surroundings through conducting research and consultancy studies according to the needs of government and private sectors, to develop the university’s resources and invest in its human capabilities.
  6. Establishing partnerships with research funders in the public and private sectors to enhance the funding sources for research activities of faculty members at DAU.
  7. Promoting and establishing incubators and accelerators at the university.
  8. Supporting the establishment and management of projects initiated by university staff.
  9. Building an effective network of relationships to support innovation and entrepreneurship with other supporting institutions.
  10. Marketing the university’s outputs of innovations and entrepreneurial projects locally and internationally.
  11. Encouraging knowledge transfer between the university and relevant organizations.
  12. Providing opportunities for researchers to achieve their goals by communicating scientific research that has a significant impact with industry and society.
  13. Developing and updating policies and procedures related to conducting and marketing of scientific research outcomes.
