Digital Design Department Holds Logo Design Worksho
The College of Architecture and Digital Design at Dar Al Uloom University has organized a workshop entitled How to Design a Logo, by Dr. Amal Farraj Suleiman (PhD in graphic design and visual arts).
The workshop highlighted the definition of logos and their function, in addition to the various areas where logos are utilized. The workshop also focused on the basic, distinctive principles that make a given logo effective and capable of achieving its function in an effective manner; several logo samples illustrating the main and pivotal points in logo design were presented.
Dr. Farraj Suleiman also explained the main components of logo design and the role their visual and functional characteristics play in the visual construction of the logo. The workshop also included a detailed discussion of the different types of logos and what distinguishes each type from the other. The workshop concluded with a description of the different stages involved in logo design.
The workshop, which was chaired by Dr. Hasnaa El-Feki, Head of the Graphic Design Department, was attended by number of faculty members and college students.
