“Together Against Cancer”
With participation of the Health colleges, the Nursing Department at the College of Pharmacy and Applied Medical Sciences, Dar Al Uloom University, launched a distinguished awareness campaign titled “Together Against Cancer,” at River Walk on Monday, April 6, 2026, aiming to make a meaningful impact on community awareness regarding one of today’s most critical health challenges. The campaign emphasized that prevention begins with knowledge, as faculty members and nursing students delivered an engaging educational experience through interactive stations. These stations introduced visitors to cancer, its common types, causes, symptoms, and associated risk factors. Special focus was placed on the vital role of early detection in improving treatment outcomes, while highlighting that a healthy lifestyle remains the first line of defense through balanced nutrition, regular physical activity, and avoiding harmful behaviors. The event featured an interactive atmosphere that engaged visitors through discussions and awareness questions, along with the distribution of simplified educational materials. It witnessed strong attendance and positive engagement, reflecting its success in raising health awareness and encouraging the adoption of healthier lifestyles, as part of the college’s ongoing commitment to promoting preventive health culture
