The Accounting Department organized an in-person workshop titled “Professional Accounting Certifications and Their Importance” on Wednesday, April 3, 2026, at 12:30 PM, in collaboration with the Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA).

This workshop was organized as part of the department’s commitment to enhancing students’ professional awareness and linking academic knowledge with practical application, thereby contributing to their preparation for the labor market and improving their professional readiness.

The workshop was delivered by Mr. Abdulaziz bin Ibrahim Al-Omair, Professional Quality Assurance Reviewer at SOCPA. He discussed the importance of professional accounting certifications and their role in career development, in addition to highlighting the most prominent recognized certifications and the requirements for obtaining them.

The event also included an informational booth about SOCPA, through which its services and professional programs were introduced, and students’ and attendees’ inquiries were addressed.
