Medicine at Dar Al Uloom University organises a welcome meeting for its new students
The College of Medicine, represented by the Student Council, organised a welcome meeting last week for its new male and female students. This was attended by a number of faculty members and administrators at the College as well as a group of male and female students.
The meeting began with words fro Dr Mansoor Al-Zahrani, Head of Medical Education in the College, in which he congratulated the students of the new year and transition into the new academic plan. He confirmed that the Medical Education Unit will continue to follow their success.
Professor Dr Fahd Al-Zamil, University Vice Dean for Health Specialties, stressed the importance of spending efforts, adhering to morals, preserving Faith, not being boastful, and being patient throughout the study of Medicine. He wished the students to be a source of pride for their families.
Dr Sami Al-Nassar, Dean of the College of Medicine, advised the students to develop their abilities regarding research, explaining that the College will support research ideas, compensate distinguished students, and help in publishing their research.
Dr Sufian Awadh Al-Kareem, the Academic Advisor in the College of Medicine, gave some words in which he explained the importance of benefitting from the experience of the Academic Advisor. He explained that the Academic Advisor in the College is like a father.
Mr Abdullah Al-Buqami, from Student Affairs Unit at the College, and Dr Ayah Subhi, from Female Student Affairs, explained that student affairs administration in the College supports research projects, and likewise community service projects.
The female student Jumanah bint Mamar, Head of Student Council, explained the structure of the Council and encouraged the make and female students to participate in the success of student activities. She also confirmed the welcome by the Council of any ideas and suggestions.
