CADD Celebrates Arabic International Day

On the sidelines of the celebration of the International Day of the Arabic Language, the College of Architecture and Digital Design at Dar AL Uloom University ran a workshop on Arabic calligraphy and its role in digital design. The workshop, which was presented by Dr. Fatima Al-Siddiq from the Department of Digital Design, highlighted the aesthetics of Arabic calligraphy, its arts and decorations, and the great role it historically played in design and decoration. The workshop also shed light on the uses of Arabic calligraphy in modern art and digital design. The activity was culminated by a display of students’ artworks in a special, designated corner, and a calligraphy coloring activity performed by students from other colleges.
