With support from the WHO and As part of the activities of the 26th International Telemedicine Summit where the Saudi dream of providing high-quality medical care for critical care patients is manifested, Dr. Zuhair Al-Asiri, General Supervisor of Intensive Care at the Ministry of Health and Head of the Clinical Sciences Department at the College of Medicine at Dar Al-Uloom University, reviewed the experience of the Saudi Ministry of Health in establishing and activating the virtual telemedicine center in affiliation with Seha Hospital.

Dr. Zuhair Al-Asiri’s explained how the gap between supply and demand in critical care has motivated his team to develop remote critical care service in Saudi Arabia, a solution devised by healthcare professionals to help their peers reach out to patients in need and reduce mortality, making optimal use of resources.

In an interview that followed the conference, Dr. Al-Asiri expressed Dar Al-Uloom University’s pride in the efforts exerted by of the Ministry of Health and its role in emergency medicine, especially during global crises such as the Corona crisis.
