General Director Message
The General Directorate of Planning, Development and Quality Assurance Director’ Message
Prof. Abdulrahman M. Alsultan
The General Directorate of Planning, Development and Quality Assurance (GDPDQA) has many important duties. Strategic planning is one of its main responsibilities. University’s second strategic plan (2023-2027) is the most recent. The GDPDQA is also responsible for creating a culture of quality and implementation of quality standards. The result is continuous quality improvement in the educational process and job readiness for DAU’s graduates. We take great interest in obtaining national and international academic accreditations, and our success is evident in the accreditation of most of our programs by NCAAA and in some of our international accreditations. GDPDQA’s tasks also include developing the skills of faculty and staff. By implementing training programs and workshops, the university increases faculty and administrative processes’ performance and efficiency. The Teaching and Learning Unit of GDPDQA provides support and assistance to educational units to improve teaching and learning and make it more compatible with international best practices. Another key role of GDPDQA is compiling and analyzing DAU’s data and statistics to help formulate decision-making at the university.
Each of these activities is clearly interconnected and serves them well to be under one umbrella. By integrating all efforts, it improves performance, increases stakeholders’ satisfaction, and enhances quality of graduates, thus strengthening DAU’s position within the private higher education sector in the Kingdom.
