Central Data Management System
Central Data Management System
· The system plays a fundamental role in supporting the continuous performance improvement processes by providing reports that enhance the decision-making processes.
· The system provides all quality-related files and documents required by all academic programs, as well as related databases, including statistical reports, key performance indicators reports, surveys, benchmarking reports at both institutional and program levels as from the academic year 2017–2018, in addition to annual program reports, improvement plans, and graduates database covering all academic programs dating from the first graduating batch onwards.
· The system serves as a gateway to access university data sources and systems, such as the administrative communications system, strategic plan system, and both the LMS and SIS systems.
· The aim of the system is to provide continuous support for stakeholders by collecting, documenting, analyzing, and managing the necessary data and preparing the required reports for decision-making.
· Documents and reports are accessible only to authorized personnel.
· The system saves authorized users’ time by allowing continuous access to their reports across all academic years, eliminating the need for email correspondence, waiting time, and having to download multiple attachments.
· The system complements the electronic Quality Assurance Management System, which represents a significant shift in the implementation of quality processes, conforming to the academic accreditation requirements and standards at both institutional and program levels. The system is one of the strategic initiatives of DAU’ Second Strategic Plan (2023-2027) and automates all forms, reports, and quality requirements.
· The system undergoes continuous development in collaboration with the targeted groups through their provided suggestions to meet their needs effectively.
