About the college:
The College of Pharmacy and Applied Medical Sciences was established by Ministerial Decree No. 51033 dated on 24/04/1435 Hijri (February 25, 2014), as a fulfillment of the vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the field of education to develop distinguished professionals who can provide high quality health services at all levels of healthcare: Locally, nationally, and internationally. It is the third health college established at Dar AL Uloom University. Establishment of the college followed an extensive process of reviewing the best existing programs and curricula at the global level considering the national need of the labor market. Curricula were developed to be compatible with the educational strategies that focus on the integrative approach of basic medical sciences and interactive learning. That allows learners to use their critical thinking and innovation skills to solve clinical issues. The college signed partnership agreements with featured international universities to develop and teach the college programs as: Liverpool John Moores University, United Kingdom, and Georgia State University, United States of America.
The college established the Bachelor of Nursing program to be the first program offered. Based on the agreement signed on 11/07/1440 Hijri (18/03/2019) with the Liverpool John Moores, the nursing program was developed. The program curriculum included all of the nursing courses offered by Liverpool John Moores University, an internship year, and the university requirements to be compatible with the national framework for higher education in Saudi Arabia.
