Submission of students’ projects at Aramco competition 2017 about Sustainable Envelope
Environmental Sustainability is the mainstreaming of the Century and Architecture Department is constantly targeting the last standards worldwide. Our students in Design studio level 3, focused on environmental approach to architecture, and students by the course in Environmental control were attending together with the teachers the International Energy Forum, IEF in Riyadh and visiting the SABIC Home of innovation, discovering the last research about energy saving and motion sensor technologies.
The Architecture Students Basma and Azhar Alkhateeb, as extracurricular activity, submitted their work at the ARAMCO Competition for Innovative Envelope for Housing Project, proposing high performative construction for the elevations through research about envelope systems and building materials, so as a flexible modular system to develop standardized housing with an high creative factor.
