Because our primary mission is to raise awareness and educate the community, Dar Al Uloom University, represented by the Student Council of the College of Medicine, participated in the activation of World Arthritis Day on Thursday, 30/11/2023, under the leadership of the student: Al Reem Al Anzi.
The students participated as speakers and organizers, and they touched on several key points, among them:
– Definition of arthritis and rheumatoid inflammation,
– Its causes and risk factors,
– Complications and diagnosis,
– Treatment and prevention,
– In addition to ways of living with arthritis.
We also made an effort to simplify arthritis for children by allocating a corner for them to be educated through drawings, fun, coloring, face painting, and a simplified explanation of the joints on a skeletal model.
Furthermore, a corner was allocated for medical consultation in cooperation with the Rheumatism Association.
It is worth mentioning that Bates Café participated as a sponsor of the event, hosting and welcoming the visitors.
We thank everyone who attended and supported from the faculty members in the College of Medicine, and we also extend our thanks to Consultant Dr. Layan Al Anzi for her visit to this event.
