Department Councils

According to articles 26 and 27 of the Private Universities Bylaws, issued by the MoHE, each academic department must have a council consisting of all faculty members in the department and headed by the chairperson.  The Board of Trustees defines the powers of the departmental councils and their methods of work.  A Department Chair is appointed from among the distinguished faculty members of each department by the Rector, based on a recommendation by the Dean, for a period of two years subject to renewal.
