NAAB SECOND VISIT 2016
The Architecture Program at DAU, Welcomed the Second NAAB Visit in April 2016
Dar Al Uloom University has welcomed and successfully received Visit 2 by the National Architectural Accrediting Board, NAAB, in April 2016, within the process of achieving the Substantial Equivalency for the Architecture Program in the College of Architectural Engineering and Digital Design (CADD). The NAAB team, Mr. Michael Stanton and Professor Catherine Schwennsen operated the second visit. Before the start of the visit, the Department of Architectural Engineering submitted the Architecture Program Report (APR) to NAAB Administration. The program has prepared a Team Room, which included the students’ works, researches, assignments and design projects, courses files that are prepared by the faculty members and evidences of the program participation in the development of the Saudi community. In addition to the evaluation of the documents in the team room and visiting the physical resources, the team had several meetings, starting with the Chairman of the Program, followed by the Dean of the College, followed by the Rector of the University and ended with His Highness, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees. The team also conducted individual meetings with faculty members, students, alumni, and professionals who are practicing the architectural development in the Saudi Market.
