The master program in Graphic Design at DAU aspires to be a leading school in the region to graduate creative designers to meet the needs of a global technological field as effective and ethical professionals.

Program Mission

Graphic Design program is concerned with the research, developing creative, original and effective graphic design solutions that challenge and support students to be creative thinkers and innovators, personalizing their learning with a range of specialist visual and problem-solving skills to plan and create designs that function across an ever increasing, interrelated, range of graphics.

Program Objectives

• To provide an advanced academic environment that encourages and promotes a reflective approach to masters’ level and build greater understanding of the field of Graphic Design.
• To enable students to produce an advanced, coherent body of work that investigates analyses and reflects on current issues with Graphic Design.
• To identify varieties of practical designs working methods.
• To enable students to critically reflect on their personal skills and to achieve their goals in the context of a continuously and rapidly changing and globally significant professional graphic design environment.
• To inspire a creative and independent approach to research learning and apply this to the field of Graphic Design.
• Encourage student to develop responsibility for self-learning and motivation.
• Stimulate a culture of design, scientific research and the progress of knowledge to link the student with most recent design and software developments.
• Consolidation of artistic and cultural identity of Saudi Arabia, and the interaction with the heritage of the nation.
