Brief description of the event: The Internal Medicine Club under the Student Council hosted an online educational session titled

“IM Pathway: A Resident-Led Insights”, presented by Dr. Ahmed Alhawamdeh, an Internal Medicine resident at KSUMC–Riyadh, a KSU graduate, an active member of SASLT, and a member of the American College of Physicians (ACP) with multiple leadership roles within the ACP–Saudi Chapter.

The purpose of the event was to provide medical students with a clearer understanding of the Internal Medicine specialty, its subspecialties, and the overall residency pathway. The session also aimed to guide students on strengthening their CVs and preparing effectively for residency applications.

The event covered:

            •           Overview of Internal Medicine and its subspecialties

            •           Explanation of the Internal Medicine residency pathway and admission requirements

            •           Practical tips on building a strong and competitive CV

            •           An interactive Q&A session where students asked about training, matching, and skill development
