Dar Al Uloom University participated in organizing an Awareness Event on “Walk for Multiple Sclerosis”
The College of Medicine at Dar Al Uloom University organized an awareness event titled “Walk for Multiple Sclerosis” to promote community awareness about Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and support individuals living with the condition.
The Neurology team participated in organizing the Nutrition Section for Patients with Multiple Sclerosis as part of the event, in collaboration with King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre. The session highlighted the importance of therapeutic nutrition and its role in improving patients’ quality of life.
The event covered several key aspects, including:
- The importance of physical activity, particularly walking, in supporting neurological health and enhancing psychological well-being in MS patients.
- The impact of proper nutrition in managing symptoms and strengthening immunity.
- Major challenges faced by individuals with MS in their daily lives.
- Practical recommendations and lifestyle strategies to support overall health and disease management.
The event was attended by students and faculty members who expressed their appreciation for the valuable content and the importance of such awareness initiatives.
