Nursing Department Organizes Osteoporosis Awareness Event at Sharafat Al Nada Square
As part of its efforts to promote health awareness and preventive culture within the community, the Nursing Department at the College of Pharmacy and Applied Medical Sciences, Dar Al Uloom University, organized an educational event on osteoporosis at Sharafat Al Nada Square. The event aimed to raise public awareness about the risks of this disease and ways to prevent it, with the participation of faculty members and nursing students. It featured several educational stations covering the definition of the disease, its causes, symptoms, risk factors, and prevention methods, with a special focus on proper nutrition, regular exercise, and the importance of early medical screening. Educational brochures were distributed, and interactive activities such as Q&A sessions and Body Mass Index (BMI) calculations were also included. The event received positive engagement from participants, reflecting the success of efforts to spread health awareness and promote preventive practices. This initiative is part of the college’s ongoing commitment to enhancing health and preventive culture in the community.
