Nursing Department Organizes Awareness Event for World Infection Prevention Week
Students from the Nursing Department at the College of Pharmacy and Applied Medical Sciences organized an awareness event under the theme “Prevention is Everyone’s Responsibility” to mark World Infection Prevention Week, held at River Walk Mall.
The event aimed to educate the community on the importance of following proper infection prevention practices, especially during the seasonal transition from summer to winter when the spread of illnesses increases. It also highlighted the concept of infection prevention as a set of measures designed to reduce hospital-acquired infections or healthcare-associated infections, which form an essential part of the healthcare infrastructure.
The program featured interactive activities for children and educational presentations prepared by participating students, reinforcing public awareness of the critical role of prevention in safeguarding health.
