DAU’s Second Strategic Plan Launched

Under the patronage of His Excellency, DAU’s Rector, Professor Dr. Khalid bin Abdul Rahman Al-Hamoudi, and in the presence of academic leaders, faculty members, and students, the General Administration for Planning, Development, and Quality Assurance held the launching ceremony of the University’s Second Strategic Plan (2023-2027). The ceremony was opened with His excellency’s speech, in which he stated that the DAU’s Strategic Plan is the University’s road map towards the future. The plan sets ambitious strategic goals and objectives for the next five years with detailed action plans on how to achieve them. His Excellency thanked the General Administration for Planning, Development and Quality Assurance, Office of the Strategic Plan, colleges, deanships and university administrations for their great efforts in preparing this plan.

Introducing the new website for DAU’s Strategic Plan, Professor Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sultan, Director of the General Administration of Planning, Development and Quality Assurance, gave a presentation detailing the university’s second strategic plan, including the methodology followed for preparing it based on the Balanced Scorecard method, its major features, in addition to the strategic map of the university and its alignment with the colleges’ and Preparatory Year Program’s strategic plans and the academic programs’ operational plans.

In his turn, Dr. Muhammad Samir Abdel Haqu, Director of the Directorate of Quality Assurance Department, gave a description of the new Strategic Plan’s electronic system, explaining the mechanism for linking the university’s Balanced Scorecard with that of individual colleges and academic programs, which provides a more effective way of monitoring the results of key performance indicators and managing and evaluating performance through electronic performance indicators’ panels. , which will ultimately help decision makers develop the necessary improvement plans.
