Dar Al Uloom University Joins Second Coordination Meeting of Public and Private Universities

Dar Al Uloom University, led by its President Prof. Khalid bin Abdulrahman Al-Hamoudi, along with senior university officials, participated in the Second Coordination Meeting between Public and Private Universities. The event took place on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the University of Business and Technology in Jeddah, under the patronage of H.E. the Minister of Education and Chairman of the Council of University Affairs, Mr. Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, with the presence of distinguished leaders, university presidents, and chairpersons of boards of trustees.

The meeting featured three key sessions focusing on Governance and Leadership: The role of boards of trustees in driving institutional excellence and change. Research, Development, and Innovation: National aspirations, opportunities for enhancing research quality, and building sustainable partnerships. University Investments and Endowments: Strategies for diversifying income sources and achieving financial sustainability.

In his opening address, the Minister of Education emphasized the importance of diversifying income streams and strengthening financial sustainability for private universities. He also highlighted the need to integrate research, development, and innovation into higher education, attract distinguished faculty, and select top-performing students to ensure quality outcomes aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.

Prof. Al-Hamoudi affirmed that the meeting serves as a national platform for collaboration, fostering partnerships and knowledge exchange between the Ministry and universities. He stressed that such initiatives are vital for advancing higher education toward excellence, sustainability, and innovation in service of the nation.
