Accounting Students Visit the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority
As part of its commitment to enhancing applied knowledge and strengthening the professional competencies of its students, the Department of Accounting at the College of Business Administration – Dar Al Uloom University organized an educational field visit to the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority on Thursday, December 4, 2025.
The visit included a group of accounting students—male and female—along with several faculty members from the department. The Authority welcomed the student delegation at its headquarters, where the program began with a specialized workshop delivered by a team of experts from the authority. The workshop introduced the Authority’s functions and regulatory roles and provided an overview of the key zakat, tax, and customs regulations currently in force in the Kingdom. The visit witnessed strong student engagement, with participants posing numerous academic and practical questions that enriched the discussion and helped bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications in the labor market. At the end of the visit, the delegation from the Department of Accounting presented a token of appreciation to the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority in recognition of its efforts in organizing the visit and for its valuable contributions to enhancing students’ knowledge and skills in the fields of zakat, tax, and customs. This visit is part of a series of initiatives undertaken by the department to prepare students professionally, strengthen their readiness for the job market, and build meaningful partnerships with relevant professional and regulatory institutions.
