The Scientific Council Mission:

The supervision of academic affairs of faculty members, including their appointment, promotion, sabbaticals, and scientific communication.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Recommending approval of contracts with faculty members at the university.
2. Recommending approval of academic promotions for faculty members.
3. Recommending approval of faculty member’s scientific communication, and their participation in external scientific and academic activities.
4. Proposing regulations for the scholarship and training of faculty members and those in their positions.
5. Proposing policies to encourage scientific research, innovation, authorship, translation, and publication.
6. Considering matters referred to by the University Council.
7. Forming committees from its members or others to study any assigned tasks.
