The GPA of an Undergraduate student falls below 1.00 out of 4.00.
The GPA of a Graduate student falls below 2.75 out of 4.00.
Academic Dismissals:
Academic Dismissal occurs as follows if:
The Undergraduate Student receives in three consecutive semesters a GPA of less than 1.00 out of 4.00.
The Graduate Student receives in two consecutive semesters for a GPA less than 2.75 out of 4.00
A Graduate Student with required complementary courses fails any required complementary course for the first time with a grade of “C+” and/or has an overall GPA of less than 2.75 out of 4.00 for all required complementary courses.
The Undergraduate Student or the Graduate Student does not complete all the graduation requirements within a period not exceeding half of the period stipulated for his graduation in addition to the duration of the program.
In exceptional cases, the University Council, with the recommendation of the College Council may grant a maximum of one academic year to the BA Students who fall under the previous cases to complete their studies or/and raise their GPA. As far as MA Students, the College Council with the recommendation of the Department Council and the Permanent Committee of Graduate Studies with the recommendations of both College and Department Councils based on a report from the Academic Advisor of the student, may grant a maximum of one academic year to the MA Students who fall under the previous two cases to raise their GPA and to complete their studies respectively.
