The College of Dentistry has a total of 18 x-ray rooms, and six second-generation panoramic ray units, divided into departments for boys and girls. This system is equipped with software for analyzing the images, so after taking the x-ray image, the image appears within seconds on the computer screen, where it is analyzed and dealt with this digital technology, which allows the images to be enlarged and enlarged.
3D CT scan:
It is one of the modern technologies in the field of dentistry. The hospital used a device from the German-American company KaVo Kerr, which is one of the advanced companies in the manufacture of dental equipment and devices. This technology will serve the College of Dentistry in the therapeutic, educational and research fields.
And it’s characterized by cone radiation technology, which reduces the patient’s exposure time to radiation and decreases the amount of radiation absorbed by the patient’s tissues, to produce three-dimensional x-ray images with high accuracy that facilitates diagnostic tasks.
This technique helps in planning treatment for dental implants, as it is accurate in measurement, which reduces complications in dental implant defects. It also helps in diagnosing oral and maxillofacial diseases with high accuracy.
