The Cooperative Training (COOP) is an educational strategy adopted by all undergraduate programs offered by the College of Business Administration (Marketing – Finance & Banking – Human Resources Management – and Accounting) with the aim of linking the knowledge and theories that the student has learned during his/her academic journey with practical experiences and real challenges in the work environment. The Cooperative Training focuses on developing students’ practical skills and competencies, building relationships with industry professionals, providing students with insights into different career paths which act to enhance students’ self-confidence when they enter the job market.
Eligibility and Requirements:
The following criteria should be met before a student is considered eligible for admission to the coop training:
Completion of 90 credit-hours or more of his/her study.
GPA of 1.0 or above.
Completion of any special departmental requirements.
Not dismissed for academic courses.
Duration of the COOP- Program:
At COB a coop student is required to spend continuous weeks of practical work in a relevant field of industry as follows:
16 weeks for Fall and Spring semesters and 12 weeks for Summer Semester without registering for any other course.
