esearch Funding Policy Update The research funding policy has been redefined as DAU’s Scientific Research and Internal Funding Policy. Additionally, DAU established a Research Projects Funding Program to boost scientific research, aiming to enhance publication quality and increase the university’s ranking. Research projects can be led by faculty members alone or through collaborative efforts with students, both within and across specialties.
Scientific Publishing Support DAU encourages publishing in high-impact journals and has created the Scientific Publishing Financing Program to support faculty publications. Researchers can apply for publication incentives, and requests follow an approval chain from the college committee to the Dean and up to the Vice Rector.
External Funding Policy A new external funding policy guides DAU faculty in securing research grants from external sources, which are critical to enhancing research quality and productivity. This policy details rules for submitting and managing externally funded projects, encouraging faculty to seek external funds with the support of DAU’s Scientific Council and relevant offices.
Conference Participation DAU supports faculty skill development through conference attendance. A set of terms and conditions governs faculty participation in national and international academic conferences. Additionally, a new conference participation policy allows faculty to apply for funding to attend conferences abroad, with requests progressing through approvals by the Department Council, Scientific Research Committee, College Dean, Research Support Unit, and the General Directorate of Research and Innovation.
