Represented by College Dean, Prof. Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Ghunaimi, College Consultant, Prof. Dr. El-Sayed Amer, Vice Dean and Department Heads, the College of Architecture & Digital Design at DAU has recently received a delegation from National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment. The NCAAA\u2019s visit comes as the final step in the accreditation process of the college\u2019s three programs, viz. the Architecture Program, Interior Design Program and the Digital Design Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The NCAAA team began their visit by reviewing the developmental stages that the CADD\u2019s programs have gone through, and the immense efforts exerted at all levels to provide students with exceptional services and educational experience with full support of the university\u2019s higher authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During their field tour of the university\u2019s facilities, the delegation also had a closer look at the various, ever-ready educational, training, sports and recreational facilities, cultural halls equipped with the latest systems and technologies and all the services designed to assist both male and female students and facilitate their fulfilling of tasks on campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Central Library at the university was one of the most notable facilities visited by the NCAAA team, who took time to review the unique facilities and educational resources made available to the college\u2019s students. Prof. Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Hamidi, Dean of Graduate Studies & Research at the university stressed that providing academic references is a topmost priority for the Central Library, adding that the great attention this issue has received has been translated into providing more than 5,000 books serving the three CADD programs, in addition to the availability of a huge amount of digital references through the university’s account with the Saudi Electronic Library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team\u2019s tour also included a visit to the College\u2019s headquarters in the male and female campuses, with the aim of inspecting laboratories and the well-equipped classrooms and design studios, where members of the delegation expressed their fascination with the high standards of students\u2019 college exhibitions in both sections, and the great extent of the college\u2019s participation and involvement in community service and labor market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visit concluded with an interactive meeting between the NCAAA\u2019s team and students of the Dimension Student Club at the college led by the Al-Hanouf Al-Otaibi, a student at the Graphic Design Department, and Osama Swaidan, a student at the Department of Architecture. The visiting team expressed their admiration for the level of excellence noted in students, facilities and equipment\u2019s standards, which demonstrates the integration of the educational system at college and university levels and denotes the high readiness to implement the college and programs\u2019 vision for academic excellence and world-class education level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
