Community Engagement and Industry Linkage Committee

The Community Engagement and Industry Linkage Committee at the College of Dentistry is dedicated to strengthening the College’s role in serving the community and building effective partnerships with relevant health and professional sectors. The Committee aims to align the College’s outcomes with labor market needs through collaboration with governmental, private, and non-profit sectors. This contributes to enhancing students’ practical skills, supporting health awareness initiatives, and achieving integration between academic education and professional practice, in line with sustainable development goals and community needs.

The Committee is responsible for the following:

  1. Strengthening partnerships between the College and governmental and private community entities, in coordination with the Vice Dean of the College.
  2. Enhancing communication between the College’s outcomes and governmental and private employment sectors, in coordination with the Vice Dean of the College.
  3. Developing annual plans for community service programs and submitting them to the College Council.
  4. Proposing appropriate mechanisms that enable the Committee to encourage volunteer work and community service among university staff, students, and the local community.
  5. Supporting and organizing cultural, social, and sports activities for College students.
  6. Organizing public cultural lectures and recreational events.
  7. Developing a framework for student activities for each academic year and submitting it to the Office of the Vice Dean of the College.
  8. Preparing annual reports on community service programs and submitting them to the Vice Dean of the College.
