  • Admission Requirements for (BDS) Program:

Admission Requirements:

  • General Secondary School Certificate (High School Diploma) with grade ratio of no less than 90% obtained within the last five years, or its equivalent from inside or outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, provided it is equalized and certified by the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The University Council may make an exception for some cases of more than five years.
  • College Council may also accept applicants with grade ratio of no less than 85%.
  • Score of no less than 70% in the General Aptitude Test (Quadrat Test) and the Achievement Test (Tahseeli Test). The College Council may also accept applicants who have a score of no less than 65% in the Achievement Test (Tahseeli Test), or its equivalent score in Standard Tests such as SAT1 and SAT2.
  • Applicant must be medically fit.
  • Approval from the employer if the applicant is working in government or private sector.
  • Applicant must pass a personal interview performed by the college.
  • Meeting any other requirements which are determined by the University Council during the admission period.

Required Documents:

  • Original and a stamped copy of Bachelor’s Degree
  • Certified and stamped copy of official academic transcript along with a stamped copy of course description/s for transferring students
  • Copy of Saudi National Card for Saudis, and a copy of Passport or Residence Permit (Iqamah) for Non-Saudis.
  • Two recent photos of applicant.

Fees Structure:

  • Non-refundable admission fee of SR 5000 to be paid once.
  • The tuition fee is SR 2,500 per credit hour, and newly admitted students who study on their own account receive a partial scholarship of 20% of the approved fees for one semester, so that the tuition fee is SR 2,000 per credit hour. The partial scholarship continues after the first semester for 20% of undergraduate students at the college, based on cumulative GPA.
    Moreover, the university offers for one semester partial scholarships of 50% of the tuition fee to 5 outstanding students admitted to the college each year whose weighted average ratio is at least 85% (30% of the high school percentage + 40% of the achievement test (Tahseeli Test) + 30% of the general aptitude test (square test) score). After the first semester, the student must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher to continue receiving the special scholarship.
  • Tuition to be paid before registration of courses.
  • As per Study and Examinations Bylaws for Bachelor’s Program (Undergraduate Program) and its implementing rules at Dar Al Uloom University, a minimum number of 12 credit hours must be registered each semester.
  • Maximum number of 20 credit hours can be registered per semester. However, a maximum number of 24 credit hours may be considered.

Transfer and Course Equivalency:

The College of Dentistry accepts students who want to transfer from other universities or colleges, provided they meet the following requirements:

  • Transferring from a college or a university recognized by the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Meeting all admission requirements related to the concerned program.
  • Cumulative GPA of at least 3 out of 5 or 2.4 out of 4.
  • Meeting all transfer requirements set by the Study and Examinations Bylaws for Bachelor’s Program (Undergraduate Program) and its implementing rules at Dar Al Uloom University.
  • Meeting all requirements for course equivalization set by the Study and Examinations Bylaws for Bachelor’s Program (Undergraduate Program) and its implementing rules at Dar Al Uloom University including the followings:
  1. The student must have passed the course to be equalized.
  2. Course description of the equivalent course must cover at least 70% of the course description of the equivalized DAU course.
  3. Number of credit hours of the equivalent course must be equal or greater than the number of credit hours of the equivalized DAU course.
  4. Total number of credit hours of equivalized courses must NOT exceed 40% of the total number of required credit hours to graduate from DAU.
