The Preparatory Program: Dar Al Uloom University requires all colleges to finish a one year in preparatory courses to enable freshmen students to develop critical reasoning; independent thinking; and to communicate effectively both orally and visually in both Arabic and English. Program of Architecture   The Architecture program at DAU, offers a creative environment of integrating theoretical and structural courses with rigorous hand-on design studios.  By doing so, we permit our students to be more creative in all features of the designed environment. In addition, the study Plan focused on design studio as core requirement for each semester, and managed with a strong vertical and horizontal coordination through shared strategies. Required projects for the Design Studios may vary, from a Saudi Villa, General Hospital to a major four terminals International Airport.  All the required Design Studio’s projects are indicative with the Saudi Industry: Housing, Sustainability and Heritage.  We continuously implement integrative strategy “One Semester One Plan” to apply and complement the theoretical courses directly into the design studios.  This is all evident in the current study plan :
